Walking past local favorite,
Joes Crab Shack, on the Laughlin Riverwalk we were surprised to see the outdoor dining deck closed and all the furnishings stored on it.

Inside a half a dozen workers were busy (on a Sunday) ripping up the floor.

Joe's Crab Shack is being remodeled and turned into a Bubba Gumps. Both restaurants are owned by the Landry Group. Unconfirmed reports are that it will be closed only a short time, a week or so. That remains to be seen, though we are sure they would like it to be open by the Laughlin River Run 2013 at the end of the month.
