Laughlin Visitation Down for June while Gaming Revenue Increases

Laughlin, Nevada

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reported a record June for visitation in Las Vegas. This was  despite convention attendance being off by 16.6 percent. There were 3.6 million visitors last month, a 2.4 increase over June 2014.  Las Vegas Occupancy rates were 90.4% with average daily room rate was down by 0.7% to $114.34.

In Laughlin the numbers showed a drop in visitor volume with a rise in the Average Daily Room Rate.

Laughlin visitor volume dropped by 7.7% compared to June of 2014.

LVCVA reported 156,245 visitors to Laughlin with an average daily room rate of $43.37, up 5.7%

In spite of the drop in Visitor volume, the Laughlin gaming revenue was up by nearly 5%.

For all of 2015 (year to date) visitor volume in Laughin is down by 7.4% and gaming revenue is up 3%.

It will be interesting to see what the July and August numbers show.  Laughlin has seemed very busy in July and the River Regatta takes place in August.
